Project Details
Some projects come with a backstory that practically writes the design itself. This 1913 Craftsman is home to a family of five (and one beloved dog) — a Seattle native and a New Yorker who spent his summers in Maine. That layering of place and tradition shaped everything: a home that draws from multiple worlds at once, weaving Sister Parish–inspired touches together with global block prints and natural materials like rattan and wicker.
The house itself is a willing collaborator. Original box beam ceilings, built-ins, period fixtures, and beautifully preserved woodwork give every room a sense of history and quiet authority. The main level flows generously — from a grand living room through to the dining space, an open kitchen, and a cozy eating nook — while flexible rooms adapt as the family's needs evolve. Upstairs, three additional bedrooms offer room to grow, and the grounds, with their fruit trees and south-facing garden beds, carry that same warmth outside.
We recently completed phase two, reimagining the basement into a fully realized living space - photos to come!
